| Board of Supervisors' Meeting
Minutes 8:45 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2006
Sellers opened the meeting at 8:45 a.m. with the pledge of allegiance.
Supervisors Hubbard and Brutscher were in attendance. Brandywine Conservancy - Update of Trails Project: Robert Flinchbaugh, P.E., Regester Associates, Inc. was present. Flinchbaugh reviewed the proposed trail that will run along Wawaset Road beside the county prison property. Flinchbaugh said there are three stream crossings that will require DEP permits for this proposal. The bike trail that runs past the Juvenile Detention Center will be located between the road and the berm. Flinchbaugh said a topo will be needed for this area of the plan. Sellers asked Flinchbaugh to get an estimate for the stream crossing located at Lenape Unionville Road across the street from the PECO substation. Flinchbaugh said he is anticipating receiving the CAD files from the County Prison Project sometime later this week. Flinchbaugh said the wetland locations will have to be delineated and shown on the plans. Sellers said wetlands in the vicinity of the Roundabout will have to be delineated also. An NPDES permit will be required for this project because of the amount of soil disturbance required for the trails Flinchbaugh noted. Flinchbaugh said some wetlands and soil testing will be necessary for this project. Flinchbaugh concluded that the plan he presented today established where the trails and bikeways will be located. The next steps will be to determine costs associated with permits and soil testings. Flinchbaugh thanked the Board for their time and said he would come back before the Board when he had more information to report.
