Board of Supervisors' Meeting Minutes

8:45 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2005

   Brutcher called the meeting to order at 8:45 a.m. and dispensed with the pledge of allegiance.  Supervisor Hubbard was in attendance.  Absent was Supervisor Sellers.

Bill Harwood, Road Master and Building Inspector, was also present at the meeting.  

Announcements:  Brutscher said she would be attending the KARPC meeting next Tuesday night, and she said she would not be available for the September 29th Board meeting.

Hubbard announced Sellers and himself are meeting on Wednesday, September 14th to sign the approved Pennwycke subdivision plans.

Open Space Committee:  Hubbard said Jane Gifford, secretary, had resigned from the Open Space Committee after ten years of service.  Hubbard proposed that the township hire a secretary for the Open Space Committee and Historic Committees at a rate of $15.00 per hour.

Brutscher moved, Hubbard seconded to advertise for a secretary to take the minutes for the Open Space Committee and the Historic Committee at a rate of $15.00 per hour.  Motion carried with both in agreement.

Olmsted Subdivsion/Escrow Releases: 
Brutscher moved, Hubbard seconded to approve Phase 2, Escrow Release No. 12 in the amount of $10,871.50 in connection with improvements at the Olmsted subdivision.  This release includes an inspection sum of $2,254.50 payable to Pocopson Township.  Motion carried.

Brutscher moved, Hubbard seconded to approve Phase 3A, Escrow Release No. 11 in the amount of $5,664.00 in connection with improvements at the Olmsted, Phase 3A project.  This release includes an inspection sum of $2,083.00 payable to Pocopson Township.  Motion carried.

Scaleby Subdivision:  Brutscher moved, Hubbard seconded to extend the review of the plan for the Scaleby Farm subdivision for sixty days until December 12, 2005.  Motion carried.

General Code / Codification: The Board agreed to consider a proposed ordinance prepared by General Code for adoption of the Code and to enact certain substantive and non substantive changes made during the codification process.  The township’s solicitor will review this ordinance prior to adoption.  The secretary will forward this ordinance to Ross Unruh and prepare to advertise for adoption. 

Building & Roads:  No report from Harwood.  Brutscher said over the weekend stickers have appeared on several signs in the township and asked Harwood to see that the road crew removes the stickers from township road signs.

Toll Brothers/Sheeder Property:  Hubbard said the Board will execute the conditions of the Toll Brothers settlement which were passed at a previous meeting.

Treasurer’s Warrants:  The warrants were approved and signed as submitted.

Adjournment:  The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
