Pocopson Township

8:30 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006

  Sellers called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. and dispensed with the pledge of allegiance.  Supervisors Hubbard and Brutscher were present.  Also present, Steve Conary, PC member and Bill Harwood, Road Master. 

The secretary reported that the 2007 budget was advertised as being available for public inspection on December 5, 2007 in the “Daily Local News.”  The Special Meeting for the budget adoption was advertised in the “Daily Local News” on December 22, 2006. 

The Board reviewed the final 2007 budget and asked those present if there were any comments.  After a brief discussion and a minor correction the following motions were made:

Motions:
Brutscher moved Hubbard seconded to accept Resolution Number 14 of 2006 that hereby levies the following taxes upon that real property made taxable for Township purposes, located in Pocopson Township: 
General purpose tax   - 1.2 mills
Open space tax          - 1.0 mills
Motion carried.

Brutscher moved, Hubbard seconded to accept Resolution Number 15 of 2006, which sets expenditures and expenses for the fiscal year 2007, that the following budget hereby appropriates expenditures from the fund equities, revenues and other financing sources available for the year 2007 for the specific purposes set forth. 
Motion carried.

Re-organizational Meeting:  The Board agreed that the Re-organizational Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.

Motion carried.

Adjournment:  The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
