Chester County Treasurer is now serving as
Pocopson
Township Real Estate Tax Collector

The Chester County Treasurer is now Pocopson Township's real estate tax collector. 2013 tax bills were mailed out in early February. For tax certifications, please visit their website here or call (610) 344-6370. Please note that if your taxes are paid out of a Wells Fargo mortgage escrow account, you will not receive a bill in the mail; Wells Fargo has arranged with the County Treasurer to be billed directly. The discount period ended April 30; the face period will end June 30.

 REGIONAL HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) and COMPUTER COLLECTION (E-WASTE) in COATESVILLE

The next Household Hazardous Waste and Computer Collection Event for Chester County residents is on:

Friday, June 21
Coatesville 9th and 10th Grade Center parking lot
1425 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320-2459
(Same entrance as CAT Brandywine – Across from the Dairy Queen).

The collection site will be open at 9:00 AM and will close at 3:00 PM sharp.

Residents may bring TV’s, computers, peripherals and no more than 220 pounds or 25 gallons of hazardous products per household. Hazardous products will have a cautionary word on the label such as: poisonous, caustic, toxic, flammable, ignitable, corrosive, reactive, caution, warning, danger or hazardous.
This collection is not for businesses or contractors.

Unacceptable materials are latex paint and
household alkaline batteries (not considered HHW), used motor oil, tires, asbestos, explosives, gas cylinders, PCBs, medical waste, unidentified waste, commercial and industrial waste, explosives, ammunition, and appliances containing Freon.


 

EIT Information for Pocopson residents
Keystone Collections Group is the appointed Earned Income Tax (EIT) collector for all Chester County municipalities. Residents who are self-employed or who work out of state will continue to be responsible for making estimated quarterly EIT payments. Forms are available at Keystone's web site under Taxpayer Resources or by clicking here.

 Pocopson's PSD code is 151105

Pocopson's Resident EIT Rate is 0.2% (or 1/5 of 1%).
