Planning Commission Meeting Minutes

7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2005

Call to Order:  Waddington called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.

Members Present:  Bill Waddington, Sarah Mims, Meg Johnson, Suzanne Breiseth

Members Absent:
Steve Conary, Judy Cousins, Sean Rafferty

Richard & Maryann Schaftlein / Minor Subdivision:  The members reviewed the two lot sketch plan submitted by the Schaftleins.  The Schaftleins were not present.  Waddington suggested having a shared driveway for the two lots due to limited sight distance on Wawasett Road instead of the proposed two long driveways and extensive driveway cuts and fills. The PC members agreed that the plan was acceptable but urged the applicant to consider combining the driveways.  Waddington noted that sight distance for any driveway should be reviewed by the township engineer.  Breiseth recommended deed restricting the two lots from any further subdivision.  The PC members agreed with her recommendation.  The PC members also agreed that the Schaftleins should move to the next phase and submit a preliminary/final plan of the property for review by the township engineer.

Baily Farm / Corinne Village:  No representatives were present for discussion on this plan.

WCRPC:  Breiseth reported the WCRPC has written a letter to the PA Department of Transportation emphasizing the need for ramps at the Route 322 bypass and accelerating the needs analysis study for the Route 926 and Route 202 interchange  The commission is still in the process of determining their next project.  Breiseth said the next meeting is September 29th.
