Recycling – How To Do it Right   Recycling-logo

Pocopson residents are great recyclers, and properly prepared and collected recyclables are valuable commodities. However, overzealous recycling can contaminate a whole load of recyclables with items that just aren’’t recyclable –and then the whole mixed load ends up at the landfill. So, please be aware of restrictions on what can and cannot be recycled.

What can I recycle at the Township Building (740 Denton Hollow Rd.)?

Bins are emptied by SECCRA every Monday. If the bins are full when you arrive, please stop back in a day or two (or call the Township Office at 610-793-2151 between 9:00am and 12:00pm and ask if the bins have room).

Please do not leave recyclables on the ground outside the Township Building bins.

Along with Chester County and other municipalities, Pocopson Township sponsors five annual Household Hazardous Waste collections events. These drop-off events are open to Chester County residents (no commercial drop-offs) and proof of residency may be required. Electronic items are not accepted. Additional information and the 2015 calendar is available at 2015 ChesCo HHW Events.
