ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Pocopson Township will receive sealed bids online for the West Creek Road Gravix Retaining Wall project.  Sealed bids may be submitted online via the PennBid™ Program until June 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM. The bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud on June 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Pocopson Township building, 664 South Wawaset Road, West Chester, PA 19382.  The date, time and place of bid award will be announced at the bid opening.

All Bid Documents and solicitation details will be available on May 26, 2023, at no cost, at PennBid™ – www.pennbid.net.

The project is to be bid pursuant to PennDOT Specifications. The project is subject to prevailing wage.  Prevailing wage project rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry shall be required.

The project is being financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority.

A certified check or bid bond made payable to the Township for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. The selected bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount in a form acceptable to the Township.  Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Pocopson Township reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids on any basis whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids, and to accept a bid which is in the Township’s judgment in the Township’s best interests, as permitted by law.
